IIBF BUSINESS CORRESPONDENTS / FACILITATORS EXAM
Introduction
In order to ensure financial inclusion several initiatives have been taken by the Govt. of India and Reserve Bank of India. Business Correspondents (BCs) play an important role in achieving financial inclusion and a BC is an extended arm of the bank's branch. A BC acts as a bridge between the Bank branch and the people in the area. A BC is the first point of contact and the front face of the bank branch to the people.
In order to enable the BC to be more effective, they need to be imparted the desired level of knowledge. They should have knowledge about basic banking products and services as well along with technical knowledge of handling POS devices, MicroATMs, Bio metric devices etc. In this context, Indian Banks' Association has made it mandatory to certify BC Agents by IIBF after a minimum nuber of days of training. In this context a 3 days training course has been designed by IIBF and a certificate examination with the following objectives also has been launched.
Objectives:
The objective of the course is to provide basic knowledge in banking operations and help the Business Correspondents / Facilitators understand the following aspects:
1. The role / functions of banks.
2. The basics of banking operations and procedures.
3. Role and function of BC/BFs.
4. Financial advising and counselling.
5. PMJDY, PMJJBY, PMSBY, APY.
6. Central Govt. and Local Govt. sponsored schemes.
Medium of Examination:
Examination will be conducted in English, Hindi and any other vernacular languages viz. Bengali, Assamese, Oriya, Marathi, Malayalam, Tamil etc.
Syllabus of Examination:
RBI has designated IIBF as the sole certifying agency for the banks of SCBs (including RRBs), SFBs excluding the Payments Banks. In consultation with RBI, the syllabus for the BC certification has been revised.

Pattern of Examination and Duration of Examination:

Question Paper will contain 100 objective type Multiple Choice Qustions of 1 Mark each.

The examination will be held in ONLINE mode only.

There will be no negative marking.

The duration of exam is 120 Minutes.
Eligibility:
Candidates with SSC / SSLC / Matriculation or equivalent.
Passing Criteria:
Minimum marks for Pass is 40 out of 100. Score Card will be issued to Candidate immediately after the Exam and they will get their Certificate through their registered email.
Examination Fees:
For first attempt Rs. 800/- + GST.
